Remote control rat is sounding very complex but it is not that complex, it just refers to the implants which are put in the rat and then the rat becomes a useful animal for the human beings. The motive of the people is to utilize the animals in the best possible manner for the benefit of the human species.
The Remote control rat is made so as to detect the explosives and ammunitions and other products which might be very harmful and destructive. An implant is placed in the brains of the rat which helps it to detect the explosives. Before, the experiment can be termed as successful, proper training should be given to the rats and should keep under strict observation for amazing results. There are a lot of issues regarding the Remote control rat by the people of the animal rights who plead for the well being of the animals. In no condition they want to hurt the animals by any means so they hold a strong objection for projects of all these kinds which involves the well being of animals of different species. They hold a strong opinion for the animal rights people as they don't harm the rats in purpose; nothing gets affected in the rat. It goes on with the normal system of the rat. It is just able to detect when the sensors that are fitted inside the rat starts to respond when bought near the explosives. Toxins which are of biological origin or it can be of chemical origin can also be detected by the rats by their ability to smell and feel the presence. It is a boon as it can be used for different rescue operations which proves to be life saving. It is used as the experimental model for the experiments but the sentiments of the animal rights should not be hurt by affecting the animals.
This similar kind of experiments was conducted on dogs were proper training was given to the dogs to detect any such explosives and different other things and those species were known as sniffer dogs. But for the experiments on the dogs there was no impulse which was given inside the dogs so it did not cause any problem for the animal rights people.
